Bob Henson, has a familiar name, as it’s also the name of a very famous Muppet inventor, only he’s not related, not that rich and his wife pulls his strings…make that chains, in his case!!!
Bob’s humble beginnings if you ask him, he’ll tell ya how humble he is, began in shortly after he discovered fire and the invention of the wheel.
He grew tired of the daily wear and tear from working for his former boss Mr. Slate and at the encouragement of his next-door neighbors (Fred & Barney) he left the rock quarry and returned to school where he got his G.E.D. (Git –R- Done Diploma) and attended college at Small Men University with Radio Futures. While attending school at S.M.U.R.F. he amazed his Professor with his wit and gift of gab. (It was later discovered that his professor had been deaf for years and no one noticed.)
Bob graduated at the top of his class but was quickly reprimanded for standing on a step stool and graduated somewhere around this tall.
Bob lives a quiet life (it’s hard to hear him at the height) and lives with his beautiful wife Laurie in Merced. He has seven children (apparently television wasn’t invented yet back then!) and when he’s not bragging on them or how he’s lost all kinds of weight…he is telling stories on how he interviewed the late great Chick Hearn.

What year? Established in 1959 Satisfying Customers for Almost 50 years!!
Tell us about you: Married with 7 kids & 1 Grandbaby (A Guy’s Gotta Have a Hobby!)
Likes: Music of course! Playing keyboards, working for and with ornery rednecks!!
Dislikes: Greedy, self absorbed and inconsiderate people, and the hair that grows out of my ears!
Favorite color: The blue of my grand daughter’s eyes!!
Favorite artist(s): Michelangelo…..uh…oh…I must have misunderstood (as usual)
Charlie Daniels, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and anyone who really “Brings It”!
What was the first job you ever had? I started working for my father (who was a painting contractor) at the age of 8 years old for 50 cents an hour. That prepared me for working behind a microphone in radio (which pays just a little more)
Anything else? I want to thank God for allowing me to do something I truly love. I also want to thank BMO for giving me the opportunity to continue to work for and with him here at HANK!! OH…by the way…BMO…I’m still waiting for my $50 dollars!
